Our team of health professionals provide General Practice services, rehabilitative, respite and palliative care, and rest home and hospital level care for residents and visitors to Akaroa and the Bays.

Entry into the Facility

  • You must scan the QR code, sanitise and put on a mask before entering - this is not negotiable

  • 2m Distance applies

  • Call to book time to visit the residents as visitors are limited, visitors must be vaccinated

  • All visitors and contractors will be required to complete a health questionnaire on arrival

COVID Vaccinations

  • We will continue to deliver vaccinations no matter what level

  • We vaccinate on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 4:30pm

  • Please call reception on 03 304 7004 to make a booking

  • You do not need to be registered with us to receive a vaccine

  • We are vaccinating all eligible ages

  • Booster vaccines are available for those who meet the criteria

  • We are looking to vaccinate 5-12 years on Tuesday 25th Jan - please call to register your interest


COVID Testing

  • We encourage anyone with cold and flu symptoms or who has had contact with COVID Case to get tested

  • We will do COVID tests in the car park daily - call 03 304 7004 to book

  • When you arrive remain in the car and call us to let us know you are here

  • Patients will remain in the car while 2 staff wear full PPE and conduct the test

  • Patients who have a COVID test should isolate until the results come back - approx 24-48 hours


GP Appointments

  • We can see patients in person but will continue to offer phone appointments

  • Patients  must QR Scan, sanitise and put on mask before being allowed in the building

  • We will be limiting the numbers and ask that only the patient and one support person (if required) come to the booking
